I am so grateful to have found the Balkan Bakery! I miss the amazing bread we have in Hungary and this place brings me a feeling and taste of home. There is even a little seating area inside to drink your coffee and eat fresh bread. Make sure to say hi to the group of sweet Bosnian gentleman who sit every morning outside eating. Really feels like home. The owners are Incredible too

Amazing beef burek with delicate thin crust & soft savoury texture with beef! It is similar to "roti canai" & " murtabak" that I had back home. Friendly service & I like the limited menu with homemade fresh baked pastry & breads everyday!

This is a great place to get some Balkan food. The Borek is very light and flaky with the beef. I love the Chevapi with their homemade bread. They have tons of Balkan snacks and treats too. I also highly suggest the cream puffs if they have them. Only a few tables but worth it!

3/30/24: a friend had given us some bread from Balkan and we decided to check it out for ourselves this particular Saturday morning. What a great place. It's an unassuming storefront, but the second you walk in it's heavenly. There is plenty of parking and there is a myriad of items to curb your cravings. Aside from the baked goods, they have a small store with miscellaneous items. We didn't look too closely at them as our eyes gravitated to their breads, desserts, and other items in the display case. The lady behind the counter was super sweet and she explained to us about how the Figaro treat was named after the opera; that way back when, because operas were so long, during intermission, small treats (packed with sugar) were sold to help the audience stay awake for the next half of the show. We ended up purchasing one of each dessert, a savory item, and a small drink (because the bottle was cool). I cannot remember what the hot savory item was called but hey, pastry and cheese, what more do you need? :-) For all of that, it only came to $29. Balkan Bakery is 22 miles from our house so it won't be a weekly visit for us, but we will definitely return -- we must try more of their baked breads.

I finally got a chance to go in and see what they are all about. This is a a family run bakery cooking family recipes. On this visit I had a coffee and baklava. I haven't had a lot of baklava but this was definitely the best I have had. They are very friendly and service is quick. They also have a little market if you're looking for European brands. Pretty chill spot, they do have tables, indoor and outdoor if you want to stay and enjoy your coffee and pastry.

What a great little family bakery. This is definitely my vibe. Friendly service along with a cute place to enjoy a casual breakfast Tried a cheese and egg Burek, which is an Eastern European pastry. It was delicious. And the coffee here is pretty good here too. I'll definitely be back and I'm anxious to try some of the other interesting pastries they have here.

Fantastic and 100% originally authentic bakery! I am so happy I discovered this place. Located in a strip mall, the bakery is small, but clean and efficient. Baker is located right there in front of the customers! Food is delicious and freshly baked daily. In fact if you are interested in ordering larger quantities - call ahead and they will have it freshly made within an hour-now that is a good service! Employees are super friendly and are ready to offer suggestions and advice when asked! In particular what I would recommend is burek! It is made with thin phyllo dough which is my favorite-not overwhelming yet still delicious! Kifla was 100% authentic and soft.

Loved this place and wish we lived closer! Welcoming staff, interesting cuisine, delicious food, and incredibly affordable prices. My husband and I shared the spinach burek and the cevapi sandwich. We got a loaf of the rye bread to go. The breads are $3-4 and baked fresh daily. The meat in the cevapi was so tasty. The sauce it came with complemented it perfectly. Burek is the thing to get here, though! It was warm and just phenomenal. Keep in mind that they have a walk-in limit of 4 bureks. Bit of seating and the place itself is very casual, but most people got their orders to go.
